Field note
Jae Woodward joins Tony Merkel to argue that UFO disclosure, the fallen angels and the Nephilim belong to one story. His reading of 1 Enoch is sympathetic in an unusual way. He says the Watchers wanted families, and that their plea through Enoch was for their children. From there he turns to the present. He calls this moment “the age of disclosure” and “the age of deception,” and suggests that fallen beings could pose as biological aliens. On cryptids he goes further than anyone else in the Library. He says he believes Bigfoot and dogmen are “leftover Nephilim,” points to wild-man traditions across cultures, and passes on accounts of agents removing bodies after collisions. When the host suggests that elites are engineering such creatures, Woodward connects the idea to disembodied Nephilim spirits looking for bodies. For the through-line, this is the strongest link from cryptids to Genesis 6 in the Library, and most of it rests on testimony and speculation rather than on the texts.

Jae Woodward · 1:09:53 · Interpretive
“when the Nephilim died, their spirits become disembodied.”
Host Tony Merkel raised the idea of engineered creatures (1:09:23); Woodward responds by speculating that such spirits could inhabit engineered bodies, including “hairy creatures that can roam the forest” (1:10:46).
Scripture and texts named
1 Enoch (the Watchers’ petition through Enoch; chapter not cited). The film Noah (2014), mentioned in passing. Psalm 82 and Jude come up from the host, not from Woodward.
Where it disagrees
Woodward on Bigfoot: “leftover Nephilim.” Alberino (Blurry Creatures EP 57): “indigenous to the earth.” Wayne (Sasquatch Chronicles 1010) talks to a Sasquatch audience and does not identify the creature at all. Woodward’s disembodied-spirit premise matches Muddamalle (EP 262). The engineered-vessel idea is his own. Wayne raises a similar question about technology and “dwelling places” for spirits (Confessionals 621).
